Brown aluminium oxide abrasive are usually used for sandblasting
because of its angular shape, good hardness and good toughness. Its
purpose is to make the workpiece have a certain bonding surface
through brown aluminium oxide sandblasting.
Brown aluminium oxide sandblasting pretreatment is usually a very
important step in the preparation of the coating. The surface
quality of the processed workpiece will directly affect the bonding
strength of the surface and the coating, thereby affecting its
service life.

- Hot dip galvanizing process pretreatment
The pretreatment of hot-dip galvanizing process adopts pickling and
phosphating processes. There will be acid and alkali residues on
the surface of the workpiece, making the hot-dip galvanizing layer
easy to fall off. In the Zinc spray, aluminum spray process, the
pretreatment adopts the sandblasting process with brown aluminium
oxide abrasive media.
The Brown aluminium oxide grits are of angular shape, good hardness
and good toughness.
After sandblasting, the surface of the workpiece is very clean and
rough, with sa≥2.5, good coating adhesion, and tensile
strength≥0.6kg/mm2.
After the surface is sprayed with zinc and aluminum, there will be
no corrosion from the inside to the outside, so that the zinc layer
will not fall off.
As sandblasting abrasive media
1. Less dust
Due to brown aluminum oxide’s relatively high specific gravity, it
produces less dust during the sandblasting process. This ensures
operator health and safety and improves operator visibility.
2. High efficiency
The brown aluminum oxide abrasive grits can quickly hit the surface
of the object with sharp edges and corners, it is regarded as a
very fast way of sandblasting.
3. High surface treatment quality
During the blasting process, brown aluminum oxide can penetrate
deep into the caves and pits of the surface to reach the bare
surface of the metal, so it can completely remove all rust,
water-soluble salts and other pollutants.
