1. Product Description
The Ceramic Shot Peening Zirconia Sand is fused by zirconium sand
in electro furnace under high temperature over 2000 degrees,made
into different beads through selecting, inspeting,packing etc,
its characteristics of high hardness and low breakdown rate makes
it to be widely used as shot
peening media.

3. Why Zirconia Sand is suitable for shot peening beads?
Due to the special chemical composition and physical property
,Zirconia Sand has lower breakdown
rate when as shot peening beads,that means the beads in balsting
equipment is more stable and
consistency ,people do not need to refuel new beads in to the
equipment frequently ,then it will
achieve more consistent surface finish effect during the long
working time compared with the
glass beads, it will also impact a layerof residual compressive
stress onto the treatment surface
to avoid the formation of fatigue cracks occurred on the
surface,then finally prolong the treatment
service life.
Also due to the high hardness and lower breakdown rate,ceramic
beads has long service life which is
20-30 times compared with the one of glass beads when treating the
same parts. Although its initial
price is expensive than the one of glass beads,while seen from the
long time operation, the overall
cost is cheaper.
There is also no dust and hidden danger of silicosis to the
worker's health,it is one environmental
friendly peening beads compared with the traditional glass beads.
