Oxide
Black fused alumina is also a kind of corundum,it is made by high
iron bauxite, high alumina bauxite and
iron oxide as main raw materials,then smelted in the electric arc
furnace completely, then made into different
grit size after different processes of cooling,crushing ,screening
etc.It has the characteristics of moderate
hardness,good self-sharpness,strong cutting force,not easy to burn
the treatment and low cost.

4. Main Applications of Black Fused Alumina Synthetic Aluminum
Oxide
Bonded abrasives :Resin cutting discs
Mixed 30-50% ordinary black aluminium oxide with brown aluminium
oxide to make resin cutting discs ,which
will achieve better performaces: enhance the cutting discs’s
sharpness and smooth finish , ease the surface
discoloration , and feel more stable when actual operation.
Most importantly,it will reduce the overall production cost because
black aluminium oxide price is 40% cheaper
than the one of brown aluminium oxide.
Polishing stainless steel tableware
Compared with other higher hardness abrasives such as brown
aluminium oxide ,black aluminium oxide has
the outstanding advantage of polishing stainless steel
tableware,its moderate hardness & good self-sharpness
will generate little heat in the treatment surface,then hardly to
burn the treatment,finally achieve uniform and
bright color.
Coated abrasives: sandpaper,sandbelts and flap wheels
The mixture of black and brown aluminium oxide can be made into
sandpaper and then be converted into sand
belt and flap wheel for polish application.
